My phone says it is in a non GPS area
My phone says it is in a non GPS area
Solution
IMPORTANT: If your phone says it is in a "non GPS area" your GPS may not be enabled. Even if you can view mapping programs (eg. Google Maps) this does not necessarily mean you are using your GPS function on your cell phone. Mapping programs, when GPS is disabled, can still work by using Cell Towers or Wifi.
Make sure your GPS function is enabled on your cell phone. Now turn your phone OFF. Go outside and turn your phone ON & wait at least 3 minutes while it obtains a GPS fix. Now when you login to the WebSafety Members Area (http://www.websafety.com) & click WhereRU in the left-hand menu there should be a map that is automatically displayed with your current location on it.
